Rainier Challenge

 

F'95 White played in the GU14 Copa bracket. They won their flight and made it to the championship round, where they came in second to MRFC 95 Cosmos.

 

F'98 White was a finalist in the Rainier Challenge U11 Copa Division. Went 2-0-1 in group play, then lost the final after overtime and NINE (!) rounds of penalty kicks.

 

 

Regional Tournament

 

F'92 Green loses 0-3 to Northern California in the quarterfinals. Congratulations on successfully advancing out of group play!

 

F'92 Green beats Montana Metro 1-0 in their second game of group play at the Regional tournament! Go ECFC!

 

ECFC F'92 Green wins 1-0 in the last 3 minutes of the game on a long throw-in by Malloy Leahy to Brooke Gilbert (national team player) who volleys the ball into the upper 90 from the top of the 18!!

F'92 Green wins U-16 State Championship Cup!

 

Emerald City's F92 Green team coached by Richard Reece wins the U-16 State Championship Cup by beating Northwest Nationals 4-0.

 

The team will compete in the regional tournament June 15-21 in California.

Congratulations to the F92 Green team and to the F97 Green team. Both have advanced to the Semi-finals!

 

The F92 Green Team plays Saturday, May 2nd at 2:45pm against Washington Premier at Starfire on field 3. The winner advances to the finals of the girls U-16 Championship Cup to be played on Sunday, May 3rd at Starfire at 1:00pm.

 

The F97 Green Team also plays Saturday, May 2nd at 1:30pm at Starfire. They will battle for a place in the finals of the girls U-11 Challenge cup which take place on Saturday May 9th at Starfire.

 

Come cheer on the Emerald City teams to a place in the finals!

 


 

State Tournament Updates

This weekend several Emerald City teams will battle to advance to the next round in either the Challenge or Championship Cup. Please wish these teams good luck this weekend. Better yet throw on some Emerald City attire and cheer the teams to victory!

 

Here is the line up for this weekend.

Challenge Cup

 

Saturday

 

F97 Green plays Washington Premier in a quarter final match at Van Asselt Elementary at 10:30am

F95 White plays Cascade FC in the first round of elimination play at Shorecrest HS at 2:30pm (If they win they will play Sunday, location and time TBD)

 

Championship Cup

 

Saturday

 

F96 Green plays Dosveedanya in the quarter finals at Van Asselt Elementary at 12:30pm

M95 Green plays Washington Premier in the quarter finals at Magnuson 7 at 10:15am

F92 White plays FCV Justice in the first elimination round at Shorecrest HS at 11:00am

 

Sunday

 

F94 Green plays FWU Reign 94 Purple in the elimination round at Shorecrest HS at 10:00am

F92 Green plays the winner of an elimination game at Shorecrest HS at 12pm.

M94 Green plays FCSC Juventes in the elimination round at Summit 2 at 1:15pm

State Tournament Updates

The State Tournaments move forward. It is exciting to see that nine Emerald City teams have advanced to the elimination rounds in the Championship and Challenge Cups and seven have advanced to the quarter finals. There are still a couple more teams that have a chance to make it to the next round.

 

In the Challenge Cup the following teams advanced to the elimination round but lost their hard fought battles this weekend, M96 Blue, F96 White, M95 White and M95 Blue. F94 Blue was victorious this weekend and has advanced to the quarterfinals. F95 White also advanced to the elimination round. An update on their game is coming soon.

 

Also in the Challenge Cup the following teams advanced to the quarter finals, M97 Green, M97 White and F97 Green. These games will be played April 25th.

 

In the Championship Cup the following teams advanced to the elimination round, M94 Green, F94 Green and F92 White. In addition, the following teams are playing in the quarter finals F96 Green, M95 Green, F95 Green and F92 Green. These games will be played April 25th or 26th.
